Morocco FTA Implementation Set for January 1;

The US President, George Bush, issued a proclamation on December 22 bringing most of the US-Morocco Free Trade Agreement (FTA) into force from January 1, 2006, following Morocco’s recent actions to strengthen its copyright laws. Implementation of the agreement, which was approved by Congress over 16 months ago, had been delayed several times pending these internal changes.
